Fashion How-To: Getting Ready for Your Weekday V-Day

This year Valentine’s Day lands on a weekday when most of us are working the regular 9-5 grind. 

Yes, it’s a shame but don’t let that get the best of you, instead turn your office wear into amazing date wear in just a snap. This season, I found an entire collection by Club Monaco that would work perfectly for Valentine’s Day.

Mix it in with Pink takes everything from lace skirts to ankle-skimming dress pants and kicks it up a notch in sorbet shades. A bright reason for us to interupt our full coverage of the Ottawa Fashion Week and have Ms. Janelle put together her fave ideas for getting ready on Valentines Day!

Club Monaco Mix It In Pink: Giancinta Skirt

In all honesty, wearing Valentine’s Day favorites like cherry red to the office makes me a bit nervous so keep it workplace friendly while still romantic in these gorgeous shades. 

Since florals is also one of the big trends this season, nothing says love and romance like a cocktail dress that portrays a beautiful garden.

Other options? Wrap dresses and tunic dress that can be the perfect mix of sexy and casual. 

To top if off, put on your high heeled pumps or your strappiest of sandals and finish the look with a simple yet elegant Eternity necklace from Banana Republic. Appropriate name for the perfect date right?
