4th ANNUAL I AM FASHION IS BACK - ARE YOU READY?

The glitz, the glamour, the spotlight and the endless parade of beautiful designer pieces.

These may be the elements that lures the press, media and fashionistas from all over to a fashion show but what makes them keep coming back for more is far deeper and more significant than that.

When the final bow is done and the standing ovation has died down, what really makes a fashion show or any show for that matter is its core principles, what does it stand for and what legacy does it leave behind.

Fashion and Media Mavens, Show Producer and TV Hosts: Gwen Madiba and Grace Mayele

Powered by two of the most incredible, purpose-driven and well-respected young business women in this city, Grace Mayele and Gwen Madiba, I AM FASHION: RIP THE FAB LANE is one event that is highly anticipated in the capital. On top of its very exciting line-up of talented designers this year, I AM FASHION stays true to its mission of not only supporting such a great cause as proceeds of the event will be allocated to the charity, Fanm Deside in Haiti, it also help turn the spotlight to those designers who may not have a chance to showcase their talents and creativity at other fashion shows.

"I AM FASHION: RIP THE FAB LANE prides itself on being a unique experience for those interested in the often neglected local fashion scene. Not indulging in snobbery, this event is designed to build community and get people passionate about fashion for a cause. All those involved in the event, from the Founders, to the Designers, to the Suppliers, to the Models are all seen as equals in this growing movement and are encouraged to use their own special gifts and skills to cultivate ongoing success."

On top of this year's sponsors like one of the city's top restaurants - MAMBO Restaurante Nuevo Latino, XTRESS Exquisite Salon, Hair Designs by Paula and many more, the 4th I AM FASHION will proudly showcase a diverse set of designers. Get ready to be mesmerized by runway shows from Metamorphosis Beauty by Afia Agyeman, SKYVVYS by Lynn M. Sainte, Me.Tu by Me.Tu Styles, EFANI Eyewear by Lilo Empire, Ennemi Couture by Meaghan Simard, Rinude Resale Boutique, Eliza Diosa Clothing by Valerie Capiral, along with local success stories DARE by Gwen Madiba, and Nyira Elegance & Art by Jennyfer Djamboleka.
