In addition to celebrating such a huge night of achieving a major accomplishment, the Forty Under 40 Awards Gala Ceremony for Mr. Fadi Ghaby, the thrill continues on as Ottawa Citizen, one of Canada's well-respected national newspapers, features Twenty York Street.
This time, it is for (if I may borrow the phrase published) ruffling some feathers that night.
"Marilou Moles, the bright light behind Ottawa style blog 20 York Street who goes by the Twitter handle @20YS, resembled an elegant ballerina at an awards’ gala on Thursday night."

I have to admit that I was in quite a tizzy trying to choose what to wear to such an important evening and I'm very pleased that I waited for the right frock to come along. Though a complete coverage of the night is coming up at 20YS, I just can't keep this exciting thing to myself - another media feature!
I don't know about you but I think that the novelty that comes with getting recognized publicly will never wear off, no matter how many times it happens.
So without further ado, here we go:

No, Swan Lake wasn’t in town this week, but you can be forgiven for thinking that it was. Marilou Moles, the bright light behind Ottawa style blog 20 York Street who goes by the Twitter handle @20YS, resembled an elegant ballerina at an awards’ gala on Thursday night.
Moles, marketing director for Thann skincare, almost upstaged her boss Fadi Ghaby, who was being recognized as one of the recipients of Ottawa’s Top Forty under 40 by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce.
The awards are handed out annually to business leaders who have shown success based on professional expertise, business achievement and community involvement. Ghaby, a former high tech worker, brought the Thailand-based, all-natural skincare line to North America several years ago. The Thann flagship store is located in the Glebe at 829 Bank St.

Moles ruffled a few feathers by standing out in the crowd at Hilton Lac-Leamy with her white crepe and silk corset dress with racy black leather straps, long, delicate ostrich feathers and ruching that ran in three different directions. The designer behind the outfit is Ottawa-based Désiré Bara-Assi of Dez Bara, who has worked in New York City, Los Angeles
and Toronto.
Moles’ bird’s nest hairstyle was created by Jade London (Sammi) of Joseph’s salon at the Rideau Centre and her gold strappy sandals from Badgley Mischka. Ghaby didn’t look too bad himself in a classic black suit by Hugo Boss, Eton dress shirt, Zegna tie with specks of silver and shoes by Mezlan.
I would be so thrilled and grateful if you guys can go over to the Ottawa Citizen Style page and leave a comment for this feature article: RUFFLING FEATHERS.
Thank you my darlings!
