One of the things I admire most when I see an outfit put together is the brilliant use of colours. You might have heard my love for colours before yet my aversion to wear is another matter.
It's pretty magical how editors can pile up reds, yellows, oranges on top of purples and blues on fashion magazines but it's quite one thing to wear them out on the streets or let alone, wear them to the office.
When it comes to accessories and colours, I veer more towards Coco Chanel, what about you?

While this may be my normal mantra everyday, the whole point of today's exercise is getting out of your fashion comfort zones.
Mine are dresses. And black.
You can imagine how many Little Black Dresses I own. Okay, let's not actually count them as that's for another post.

While my usual pairings would have been these pastel coloured dresses plus nude heels, not today my friends.

Wait, here's a little footnote: Though I've been dying to try what I'm preaching for here, I just can't right away! Don't blame my lack of courage though, not this time. ALDO has failed to deliver the package I so carefully chose, all three pretty little shoes did not arrive because apparently, I didn't write the company name on the shipping address. I guess I should make up a company name even though the package was to to be delivered to my home.

So, let's get playful a little bit and add a whole sorbet of colours, shall we? From the mint greens, pretty purples sunshine yellow and bright oranges, I think this can add a whole other dimension to the colour spectrum on any of these featured outfits.

I love colourful shoes! I don't usually wear a lot of colours in my outfits, so shoes is where I add the colour! Hope you get your shoes soon!
LOVE those purple heels but HATE Aldo's shipping! I ordered a pair of leather heels for a wedding I was in and it took 3 tries (and about 5 weeks!) before they sent me a pair that wasn't scuffed/ripped. I don't even understand how they were shipped because anyone could clearly see that they were not in good condition! Now I'll only buy from the store with them because it was too much of a hassle.
Lover all the color...I too love my little black dresses! I promised myself this summer to pop in some color.....because that pop will bring a smile to your face. :)
I also love all my pieces that are in black....so this summer I promised to pop some color into my life. That wee " pop" every now and then brings a nice smile to my face everytime. :)....I must do it more often...thanks for reminding me!
I certainly need some courage and inspiration in wearing colors. I love colors but have trouble wearing them correctly.

I love your color selection as well as the combination of the outfits and shoes. I wear a lot of colorful outfits but I do not have too many colorful shoes, only scarlet and yellow-as I have started experimenting with fashion only recently. I have to buy at least two pairs of colorful shoes.

Well I am a guy but I don´t just a lot of accesories..just a watch and ocasionally a ring or a necklace...though I admire the people who can accesorize to perfection and not look overdone...that´s awesome.

I'm the same way with accessories. I don't think I ever wear more than two. But I do like color! I tend to wear a lot of black as well, but my favorite colors to wear are red and pink and anything neon. Those colorful heels are such fun.

i use to be like that all black all the time.. but lately i've been really into color! and i use to be very simple.. no accessories.. maybe a simple necklace.. but now i try and add as many bangles onto on my arm as physically possible hahah.. it's funny how style can change overtime even within one self!
I like your choice of colour combinations. Wouldn't have thought to pair some of those shoe colours with those outfits but now I see it can look great. I am a huge proponent of colour any time of the year, so I hardly own blackI. find colour can make even the simplest of pieces stand out. Funny enough, I hardly own any black. Love having bright bold colours in coats and shoes.

I agree, brilliant use of colour definitely captures my eye. I love colour in general, bold hues in particular with many of my ensembles. It used to be all grey and black in my closet. Black definitely has its place, but I just love colour generally speaking! :) Have a great weekend!
