Disclaimer before I begin, some of the words in this post may not be original, it is old and has been published in the past but I have to tell you, the sentiment will live on forever. This may sound superficial as this has something to do with shoes and the rack that keeps them on display but it's really the thought and the intention behind that I want to address here.
A few years ago, E built me this structure, a beautiful home for my shoes. It's not that he is a big fan of my sartorial belongings and want to showcase them even better for all to see, in fact, it's quite the opposite, he always gives me grief on the amount of clothes and shoes I have and it's a constant source of friction.
Joy. Yet, despite that, he thoughtfully and laboriously created this one of a kind shoe rack for me. I have never seen anything quite like it. Because one reason and one reason alone.
How about you, how do you know that a man really loves you? Like truly and wholeheartedly loves you?
For me, it's when that man designs and builds a structure fit to house and display some of my most prized possessions... my shoes! It still warms my heart every time I see as my shoes and my clothes are an issue of contention in our household that he may actually leave me due to the fact that his stuff no longer has a place in our closet(s). Yes closets: the master bedroom, guest bedroom, hallway and linen closet too!

Yet he created this piece of art for me, painstakingly by hand, despite the fact that he is not a big fan of my sartorial belongings. I love him dearly, no just not because of this... alright, exactly because of this!

I suppose I should stay true to the original post and ask you the same question today. How do you know a man (or a woman) loves you, really loves you?

LOVE it!!! So amazing!
I truly think Eric made you such a wonderful statement piece for your art collection of shoes, what a sign of affection and true love! My friend bought me a pair of gold glitter Aldo pumps this year for my bday and they are very similar to yours- I can barely walk in them though! Hope you had a lovely bday weekend ML :)
What a beautiful post. I love the shoe rack, and the sentiment behind it.
How do I know my hubby loves me? Because he has taken my photo every time I ask for my blog, because he won me a pair of Loubs from ebay I wanted (it already had a bid, so I gave up on them - turned out it was his bid!), and he does not argue or complain when I shop.
There aren't words to describe how much I adore this idea.
This is a really fabulous shoe rack, and I cannot believe he made this for you!
You got Loubs?
