TWENTY YORK STREET Goes to PRINT

Last Fall, I received one very lovely e-mail that made me smile, a lot. Wait, who are we kidding here... that made me jump off my feet and pump my fist in the air saying yes!

I received a wonderful message from the Editor-in-Chief of Where Ottawa, Misa Kobayashi, asking if I can do a Q & A on a fashion section she is featuring in the September/October 2011 issue of the magazine.

Where Magazine is a widely read publication that is available in top hotels, restaurants, golf courses, marinas and some tourist information centres. Where Ottawa provides timely, local information on the hottest and most essential shopping, dining, cultural attractions and entertainment in Ottawa and surrounding area.

If there is one flower I know of that is well-celebrated in many cultures, especially in Asia, it's the jasmine flower. Long revered as a symbol of purity, simplicity, humility and strength - jasmine has been the subject of many legends, songs, stories and tradition. 

Did you know that the Jasmine Flower or Sampaguita (Arabian Jasmine) is the Official National Flower of the Philippines since 1934?

Fashion and Style: Not So Little Black Dress

There's a very good reason why Little Black Dresses or LBDs if you will are very much celebrated in the style world. Notice I didn't say fashion world?

Yes, LBDs are indeed the most versatile and classic piece of garment than can occupy real estate in every woman's closet but let's face it, it's not exactly breaking any new grounds in fashion.

It has, however, save me in so many occasions - saved me a tremendous amount of time and made me instantly appropriate for whatever event I was at.
