All Ruffled Up

What and Where
Life isn't always easy, is it? But each and everyone of us try our darndest to succeed in it, make sense of it or at the very least, survive it. And just when you think things are going swimmingly, something else comes along and changes the game

But it doesn't matter.

Why? Because human beings are resilient. There has been countless of studies done all over the world that chronicles people's journey of survival from even the most tragic incidents or catastrophes known to man. It's been proven over and over that man reacts, go through a period of uncertainty but then over time, learn to adapt from that tragedy, re-adjust and as they always say, life moves on.

"Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing."
                                                                                                           - Vince Lombardi

This may not always be true for everyone because if there is something else constant about life aside from change - and that is the end. Don't you worry, death is not what we are going to talk about today. We are actually going to talk about a little bit about fashion today.

Yes, surprising I know. Just like life isn't it?

It's a simple thesis. We all have something we do to try to adapt, to make ourselves better and fashion, though some people dismiss it as superficial, is undeniably one quick step we can take to make ourselves feel better instantly. The solution may be temporary but so is the problem. There is an end to everything. I had to remind myself that. You fall down, you get up, you dust yourself and you will win again another day.

And when the going gets really tough (as it has been), I take my rufflest of ruffle dresses (hot pink recommended), pile on my goldest of golds, dance my sexiest of sexy salsa moves (partner optional) and let my hair loose.

After all, there is no down moment a little shimmy can't bring back up!

I don't know how to shimmy, but I agree, wearing ruffles and shimmying always lift me up.

You look gorgeous.
