URBAN CRAFT: OTTAWA’S MONTHLY MARKET FOR THE HIP AND MODERN
Do you spend hours scouring Etsy for the perfect, unique treasure? Do you love handmade gifts, but often think they need a bit more edge? Well, look no further Ottawa, because today marks the debut of Urban Craft Ottawa’s Monthly Market.
Urban Craft features hip and modern goods designed and crafted by local artisans and up-and-coming small businesses. The market offers attendees the chance to shop for edgier wares from a wide variety of vendors – everything from eco-friendly baby toys and kids clothing to gorgeous, one-of-a-kind jewelry and modern pieces to decorate your home.
But wait, there’s more. Urban Craft also features a wide variety of artisanal and epicure foods from local producers.
With everything from gourmet chocolates from Koko Chocolates and Rochef Chocolatier, to Auntie Loo’s vegan baked goods, and French macarons from the Urban Baking Co., Urban Craft offers flavours that will entice any palette.
Created by the producers of Wed by Hand (Ottawa’s indie wedding show), Urban Craft was borne out of the need for a monthly market where locals could shop for handmade products year-round, while also providing artists and small businesses a consistent place to sell their goods.
With the following great partners:
The Urban Craft will be taking place the first Saturday of each month beginning in September, and running through February, the market is housed in the lobby of The Great Canadian Theatre Company’s building on the corner of Holland and Wellington in Hintonburg.
