Looking Back and Going Forward

Browsing through pages and pages of archives is one of the things I usually do when I find a blog I really like. It's almost like an obsession that I go all the way to the beginning of the blog to find out the blogger's motivation behind starting one. I'm not sure everyone is like that but I do know that we are all pressed for time these days and that don't always get the luxury of going through history.

I thought I'd make it easy for you and go back in time myself and pick the ones I thought were my best outfits and why. Did you know that it took me a long time to actually start a blog? I wanted one since my friend, The Busy Neighbor, introduced me to this wonderful world of words and photos but I hesitated. I researched on how to do it, I reached out to some bloggers I admire and some of them actually became my friends (merci JoAnn) and then I hesitated some more.

And then one day I said, today is the day! So, let's start from the very beginning: my first post, a very good place to start and below are the photos (I would have not been able to do this without my Chickie, J) I like the most:

The Back Story: I bought this dress without trying it on and with the intention of returning it. I put it on one day to go to work and voila: I'm in love!

From Dublin With Love: There is one person who is not happy about this outfit. Who? My sister. Why? It's her dress, that's why!

Friendship is a Two-way Street: The white button-down, the floral applique detail, fingerless gloves and bright warm sun... what's not to love?

Ruffles and Stripes and Everything Nice: Breton stripes and ruffles - always a classic, isn't it?

You Love it? You Love It Not?: Much more than the outfit and my Christmas bells necklace, as E would call it, this is the first time I showcased my fresh new bangs!

What about you my dears, any sartorial favourites from 2010?

I loved the very first outfit so much, and the breton stripes with ruffles! I'm so glad you started this blog- I've been thinking about why I started mine a lot, lately. And I'm really glad I did, too!

The camel dress is incredible, it is hands down my favorite. I have to say that you have incredible legs though (at the risk of sounding like a creep, which I am often guilty of). :)

Happy new year!

One of my all-time fave pics of you is from waaaaaay back in the summer where you wore trouser jeans and a long black cardi. It was simple and casual, but you put it together and completed it so chicly!

You are such a fierce fashionista! I love all of your outfits, if you find your closet empty one day, it wasn't me ;)

Like you, I pondered starting a blog for years before I just dived into it. I'm really happy you started, your blog is amazing.

I really like your outfit with the fingerless gloves. i find your style is always consistently classic. You seem to know what you like and what looks good on you, and stick to it! I think some people get so caught up in trends, they end up wearing clothes that are ill-fitted or disproportionate, but you never seem to make those mistakes.
Happy New Year!
