Half Shot

You know when you say, the end of something that didn't quite work out - be it a project, a plan or a relationship, I did everything that I could do. I did my BEST.

You did everything and you did your best, yet, it didn't make whatever the endeavour was successful. I'm not sure if it's borne out of cliché that we say that or we truly did all that there is to be done. If I have to be completely honest, I have to admit that though I always try to do my best, I certainly don't - All The Time. It's certainly lousy to tell someone, ahmn... I did some kind of a half-assed job at this. I'm certainly surprised it didn't work out. No, that's not what we would say, what we'd all normally do is say - I am sorry but I really, really tried my best.

Well, did you?

How about we make a resolve that we should. That no matter how big or how small the goal is, whether to post more or to love harder - we will always, ALWAYS try our best. And in the meantime, if something or someone did not go our way, let us all remember to:

Great reminder. To be honest (this sounds so bad but I want to be truthful) I am NEVER trying by best or at my capacity. I think it scares me how hard I might have to work or what I could potentially achieve if I did. But this was a very encouraging note. Thank you for sharing it :)

Happy Monday!
Jen

I am getting very, very, VERY nervous because I haven't heard from you since last week and then you post this. Which is encouraging. But foreboding.

Could you please let me know what happened?!

I don't know that we can always do our best all the time. Sometimes life gets in the way or you have to give yourself a break. But that doesn't mean we should stop trying.

Hope everything is good with you. You look great.

glad you shared this. i think sometimes that poster/saying gets tossed around to be pretty and cute - but if we honestly take it for what it says, it can do wonders. sometimes all we can ever do is keep calm and carry on...

Aie Corpuz said...

I should put that up to my wall to be reminded everyday!

And Amen to that. You know ML I actually believe that if one really gives all they have into something there is no way on that he/ she won't succeed.

Do you believe it?

P.S: I am creating a blogroll of my favorite Canadian bloggers. Would you mind checking it out and then recommending me some that I do not know of or might have missed. It's under my Friends tab on the blog. here -
