Let's celebrate the New Year and welcome 2011 with some serious heat! STARFISH creative events + inspiration presents their Carnival themed New Years Eve party atop the Crowne Plaza Hotel. WHERE Magazine calls it the “Best Place to Kiss” on New Year’s Eve.
With panoramic views of the city guests will celebrate in two rooms each with their own DJ (DJ Ray Ray & DJ Karyen) and live entertainment. Some call it 2 parties for the price of 1! This is Starfish's 3rd annual New Year’s Eve party in Ottawa at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Be dazzled by our play on this year's theme – CARNIVAL with extravagant décor, imported beers and photo opportunities with Brazilian models. Your ticket gives you access to both party rooms, towers of appetizers, a signature drink, party favours, 2011 Carnival cake, and lots of prizes and surprises. You DO NOT want to miss this party!

Need a little touch up or a little fresh swipe of blush before the party really kicks off? Get ready with Holtz Spa hair and makeup experts -they will be providing complimentary express makeovers between 6-9pm in the hotel lobby.

We usually go to a dinner party and keep it low key. Our annual tradition on Jan 1 is to do a 10km run around the lake followed by the Polar Bear swim.. very cold but invigorating!! so not nice with a hangover!!!

No sale.... but the coat has been around for, like, 2 years and hasn't dropped in price, only stock #s all over the internets. So I finally found one in XS, and I snatched it up! I got it in grey, and only the next day, the color I wanted (Swamp Green) was available on the same site in XS. Makes me so mad.

I'm sure you haven't read my post yet, but I stayed in for NYE. I dressed up, of course. The first time we've done dinner in dressed up, but it was great. Staying in is the New Going Out.
