Dear Santa,
I know I should really be wishing for world peace and I do. I do, ultimately wish for peace on earth, for love and acceptance in all of humanity and for Lindsay Lohan to finally get all the legitimate help she can, while she can. Today however, I would like to exercise some self-love (as prescribed by most blogger friends and hey, they're bloggers - surely, they know what they're talking about) and give you my list this Christmas. Please note that they do not have to all be under the Christmas tree by Christmas morning as I'm a fan of prolonging special events, much to the annoyance of friends and family, so let's just say, you have until New Year's Eve to make me one of the happiest girl in the world!
Michael Kors Watch
As some of you may have noticed, I prefer men's watches over dainty pretty ones. That's not to say of course that if I were to be gifted of one, I will not wholeheartedly love it but there's a certain appeal to men's watches - they are bold, they are heavy and frankly, because of the size they are much harder to lose. I have been in search of the perfect gold watch this year and fingers crossed, I see this one under a pretty bow!
A Professional Tote Bag
If you live in your purse and your entire life is contained in this leather abyss that losing it or misplacing is tantamount to an automatic crisis, say hollaa! I have my day to day activities documented in my purse, months worth of receipts, invoices and bank statements (ugh!) on top of articles I need to read for work, a journal to actually write down life's exciting and mundane events as I know someday, too soon, I will forget about it. So, I need a sturdy and big purse that can both withstand the weight and the assortment of things I lug around everyday (believe me, friends have carried my purse just for fun and they've skipped weight work-outs afterwards) and can look absolutely beautiful and put together at the same time. Hmmn.. in black!
The Warmest Chicest Parka Ever
I don't think anyone really knows winter until they've experienced Canadian winters and Ottawa is pretty much in the running for winning the Miss Universe pageant for the coldest city in the whole planet! Santa, just to clarify, I don't exactly wish for a parka because I too, sensible as I am, share the same fear of looking like a walking Michelin man! So I am wishing for a parka-like jacket that is slimming, shape contouring and have the warming capacity of a thousand ovens!
Plane Tickets to the Philippines
It's been said over and over again and maybe it's because I am getting old that I am starting to really appreciate it but it's true, family is a very important thing in our lives, isn't it? You know me, I've always been about career, professional development, go go go at all times. But, at the end of the day, who are we really working all that for? Your office is not where you're gonna be at come Christmas Day, you are going to be surrounded by the people you love, still stuffed from the huge Christmas eve feast the night before. Your family is going to be there for you through thick and thin and at the end of the day, you would want to spend the most quality time with them, creating precious memories and forging that everlasting bond.
Peace of Mind and Peace on Earth

You see Santa, it has been a frantically unexpected year full of ups and down! With success and achievements also come trials and tribulations so I can really use some peace and quiet to collect my thoughts and reflect on the past year. To be able to sit in gratitude of the people who have helped me along the way, who've inspired me and supported me and to give my utmost thanks for that. This too I wish for my beloved family and friends and if I may borrow from the serenity prayer, please dear Santa, here is my Christmas wish:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
love,
ML
