The Thomas Crown Affair

I have to admit, I'm not much of a necklace person as I do love earrings, big time! I would be amiss if I don't have a pair on during any given day and when I do, it's a constant battle whether I should wear a necklace with it, a belt or bracelets. Biggest sartorial fear? Looking like an overkill! I find that as I grow older (yay, I know...) I tend to follow Coco Chanel's rule on accessories and go for the simple and elegant look. It's a bit of an un-negotiable matter too considering the conservative industry I work in. That's not to say I no longer have my days of more is more is more! (There's a very good reason I have 4 shelves for accessories alone!)

In Gold

Since starting this blog however, I came across many incredibly accessorized stylistas that its making me re-think my take on necklaces. Plus, I also realized over watching many Hollywood films, no self-respecting organized crime ever orchestrate a sophisticated heist for earrings or bracelets (save for the occasional ring). They almost always go for that ubiquitous magical necklace, don't they? So, here I am trying to jump the statement necklace wagon and recently got these two beautiful pieces above.

And... I'm currently coveting these but I can only pick one and I need your help to pick The ONE:

Hard to choose now, ain't it?

I don't usually gravitate towards necklaces (I'm an earrings girl too!), but them have so many fab statement pieces out there, I think I would gladly make the switch now!

Hmm...it is hard to choose. I like the Saffron Paisley Necklace. It's a bit different from the other statement necklaces I see out there. And you could probably get something similar to the other two at a lower price at F21 or someplace like that.

Girl I love these...I'm kinda fitting over the Diedre Chained. I'm not much of an earrings, but love a necklace - too bad we're not neighbors! We'd have it all covered!!

How pretty! Pick the one that speaks to you.

I just coincidentally bought a necklace online from Nordstroms; I was buying bottles of Katy Perry's new perfume Purr to give away as gifts and was a few dollars short of the minimum for free shipping. Buying the necklace put me over that limit and saved me more than half its cost. Hurray!

Ack, how does one even choose. But I admit, I'm dying a little bit more over the Deidre! So perfect! Goodness, I wish I hadn't sworn myself into a no-spend month...

I'd definitely go with the Diedre Gem Chained Necklace. It's a unique piece while still staying true to your understated style!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my very emo post. You are such a nice person :)

Those necklaces are so pretty, it would be hard to choose one. Out of the three, I like the pearls the best because of the elegance. xo

I am not really a necklace person either, I much prefer earrings but these necklaces are lovely

Saffron Paisley is my pick- beautiful elegance! I am a ring girl for sure- although I do tend to overkill on the accessories sometimes- less is more, less is more (I need to make this my mantra!)

I like the Diedre Gem Chained Necklace, its gold, which looks really good on you, and its simple and elegant, very versatile and timeless. I think simple necklaces can be very sophisticated statements.

Any of those necklaces would look awesome on you, but then again, so would a piece of string with a button on it, you are so gorgeous you can wear anything :) xoxo j

Hard to choose yes but that Saffron Paisley stole my heart and I re-scrolled to it. It's so different!!

Did you have a tech question...I'm so far behind on answering anything. If you still do you can send me an email :)

The Saffron Paisley and Gala Roach ones are my faves. That said, out of those I think the Saffron Paisley would be a better buy since it would be easier to dress down. :)

It's so funny how everyone has their own accessory peccadillos. I avoid rings (almost) all the time. They make my fingers feel all claustrophobic. Irrational? Yes! But true!
I'm a huge huge lover of earrings, though. The bigger the better, in my book!

Omg wow those necklace are beautiful which one is from BR?
I love the one with the brooch thats br? and the paisley too.

I loove the first one and third one :) :)

Hard to choose, definitely. I love these pieces! I usually have always earrings -they'd grow away if I didn't. I also have a simple necklace my bf gave me few years back. I am also starting to learn to wear rings and bracelets, but again all of these are kept simple so I don't think there's a war of attention between them.

These are all so fabulous! I think the Saffron Paisley is my favorite though! I definitely go for necklaces (well, and bracelets), but I have trouble finding ones that work due to size! Anyway, good luck picking a necklace! I don't think you can go wrong with those options! :)
