What and Where

I know Thursdays are blah days for some, its almost the end of the week and its a day that gets in the way of Friday the way villains fight to stop the leading man's first sweet kiss to the leading lady. The leading man being the weekend and the leading lady being me! Though I love the location of the shoot today, (The Bank of Canada building is architecturally beautiful on the outside and inside is a jungle oasis that boasts of tropical and zen gardens and a water fountain under a wooden gazebo structure.) I'm not feeling and looking my best lately so I'm not quite sure if I like this outfit (it looked brilliant when I was putting it together in my head) and J still insists on taking shots up close... Cringe!

However this Thursday, perhaps we can take a moment and set an intention for next week or the weekend? I've been a little distracted lately and despite a truckload of things to do, I've managed to accomplish very little, especially if you don't count the shopping expeditions I've gone to lately. So, in the spirit of productivity and happiness, I pronounced these five things as my intentions for the week:

* Check off at least 5 items in my to-do list.
* Make someone happy by hosting their (surprise!) birthday party.
* Surprise someone special through the mail. It's all about paying it forward, isn't it?
* Nourish my body and soul: do at least three (unpaid) Yoga classes this week.
* Give a mommy friend some rest and relaxation by offering to baby sit. Taking the kids to the mall is considered educational (so much to try on... I mean learn), yes?

What are your intentions for the week? I'd really love to hear how everybody is doing in their neck of the woods this week!

Much love.

The purple bag is the perfect pop of color for the black and white outfit. Adore the shoes :).

Of course you can add me to your blogroll.

I love this outfit combination! Hooray for being adventurous. You look stunning, dear friend, and I love that you're trying new outfit locations.

Thank you for sending your package out. I'm putting the finishing details on yours and I hope to send it out this weekend! Sorry for the delay -- it's also been a busy, distracting week for me too! Much love, J

You look so happy and carefree in these pictures! I love that skirt! Great intentions for the week. ;) My intention for today is to slow down and live in the moment. It's been a stressful week and I'm hoping this will help me to relax a bit.

Thanks for your comment! That is a lake in the background, but unfortunately (for me) this isn't my house. It was a location we rented out for the shower. :)

the skirt is really nice on you! HAHA yeah I make my guy friends buy me girlie things all the time when they go to the states too. And sure, let me know what your schedule is like next week... I'm pretty much free after 6:30 on most week nights :D

Oh, I know what you mean about slowing down Val! Today has been a pretty hectic one, not to mention really stressful and its probably the most expensive lunch time I have ever spent! I'm still crying on the inside about it. Maybe if I feel better tomorrow, I will tell you guys about it!

I'm glad you guys liked the skirt coz guess what? I got two of them (one bought and one a friend gave me as a gift! I know, awesome, eh?) so, I was thinking of either:

a) exchanging it for something else
b) give it to my Mom (ha ha!)
... or better yet,
c) post it as a Give-away!

What do you think?

Oh, I love your intentions! That's such a great idea to write them down so that you can actually focus on them. I need to start doing that.

Oh and I love how I mention i'm going to Canada and you KNEW that it means a trip to Value Village. Girlllll you read my mind!

Although... if not this skirt, did I mention there is going to be a Give-away? A sponsored one at that! About two weeks into the blog, as some of you may know, I was contacted by a designer to have her collection featured in Twenty York Street, pretty sweet, eh?

p.s. Miss Pop Champagne, I cannot wait to meet you! Would next week work?
