From Dublin With Love

Outfit details

Navy dress - Costa Blanca, "Gift" from Sissy (Okay, alright, I'll give it back!)
Nude belt - Club Monaco
Men's watch - Longines, Gift from J
Nude Shoes - Browns, Gift from Maria
Sunglasses - Banana Republic
Silver studded ring - Azteca, Gift from Mom

What and Where

I had a busy day today doing errands, bank, post, cook, ironing, work out, etc etc! Too hyper that I am still awake right now, 1:25 am! Well, its not really new right? Guess what? I went visit my fav thrift shop today, and oh my! I was so happy for all the great finds I got:

1. Black Zara short coat - (until waist only) Its wool, like new for €5! a dry clean will cost me more!
2. A Banana Republic black light jacket - I don't know how to describe it, but its like a bubble wrap texture - u know its stitched all over so it has a patterned texture. Its so nice and light! For €5! I will hand wash it myself ;)
3. A brand new Esprit tote - its like a native Filipino abaka woven bag in cream and brown stripes for €4! I had it ready to use for work in the morning :)
4. A gray shorts with black fabric belt - Dutti (Maximo) I forgot the designer's name... hehehe!
5. Green floral summer dress - A Wear
6. Light cargo army green shorts - Active Wear

All together... €25!

Well, I'm sure I shocked you with all these. Hahaha!

Just like what Sidewalkchalk would say..

Dress: Thrifted!

Disclaimer: Sadly, this post and these great finds are not mine. This is an excerpt of an e-mail from my very dear friend Pearl who lives all the way in Dublin. (I hope she doesn't mind I copied and pasted this from our personal correspondence! I was gonna ask her first but I think she is sleeping right now.) Apparently, she is way ahead of me in this thrifting business and I strongly suggest she starts her own blog! Look at what she went home with? I/she could have spent a fraction of our trust funds (no, I don't actually have one, do I, Mother?) on these. What do you think?

Hi! Thanks for checking out my blog! So excited to see that you live in Ottawa. That's where i'm originally from, my parents and siblings still all live there and i get to visit every few months!
Anyways, yes, kensie is available now at Sears (weird, I know)and we used to be at the Bay but i'm not sure anymore, but check it out and let me know if you find it!
Thanks for all of your wonderful comments.

Hey Lady Dublin!

I'm sorta glad you're far away from me so you can't smack my
ass (can I say that here?) for posting your e-mail, sorry!

Btw, y'all should head over to Sabina's blog - she's issuing a Style Challenge and I think we should get in on the action! It should be lots of fun!

I love you in this dress and I can't believe you got the whole outfit for such a steal! The whole look definitely appears a lot richer. And I like all the "outfits in action" shots.

Do you live in Dublin? That must be awesome - I've been to England and Scotland before, but not Ireland and I've always wanted to go!

thanks for showcasing the only dress that's fab in my closet sis.. i really love that shade of blue and i love the fact that i only got it for less than $20.
good job on your shopping Nang Pearl.. i wish Ate could be as thrift as you when it comes to shopping too.. but cant complain really anyway. (she gets us lots of clothes too whenever she goes gaga at the mall) =)

So jealous of all Pearl's great finds. I'm headed to the flea market tomorrow, and I'm hoping I do well. Also, I'm loving that chunky watch in the photos. I've been looking for something similar, but I'm hoping to find something cheap and costume-y just to give the look a try.

Thank you Persis! I am beyond thrilled that you've asked me to exchange links, that is so cool!

I'll be heading to Sears this week Mel and I hope I'll be pleasantly surprised to see Kensie (on sale!) in there.

Good luck Becca! Hope you have the thrifting Gods with you tomorrow. I think Pearl, like JoAnn, also have the thrifting/retail superpowers! She manages to snag great items at Marks and Spencer and at Top Shop for cheap!

Oh man, thrifting in Dublin is one of the things I didn't do when I was there last week (all my money went straight to the high street) ... but apparently, the thrifting is killer! Pearl, I am jealous.
And LOVE that dress.
