What and Where
First day back after a long weekend of indulging on what makes life - la dolce vita. Today wasn't quite the busy work week Wednesday I'm used to but I suppose it is a nice break from the craziness of life. I was home sick yesterday and I have not stepped out of the house except when E forced me out for a brisk walk before dinner.
I told J to shoot me from afar today, like miles away, as I was having one of those not so top-form moments, I felt slightly poutine-y. Our Canadian friends must know this infamous dish all too well but to all others, I suspect I will be doing a post about this soon as I hate to admit that I see this deliciously sinful combo of fresh fries, cheese curds and peppery brown gravy regularly... I know, I know! It is so bad yet so so good and if you live with a Frenchman who is very, well, French, you just can't avoid poutine no matter how fierce you fight it!
Okaaay, so back to what I was really trying to say. Due to an over abundance of deliciously rich French cuisine this weekend at Mont Tremblant and because of my regrettable self-imposed break from the gym, I was feeling a little pudgy. Ugh! Sorry I know it sounds somewhat negative but its an honest proclamation of our reality, isn't it? Sometimes, we've indulge on the chocolate bars a little too much, drank the celebratory glass (actually, bottle) of champagne, double dipped the nacho chips on melted cheese and sour cream (I swear I did not actually do all these, at least not all in one night) and we wake up the next day not quite the ab-licious fitness champ we hope to be. Perhaps I should make it up and work-out like Madonna on steroids during the last few weeks of summer... or perhaps I should just throw sodium-infused caution to the wind, take it easy, get outside, catch a movie by the beach and order another round of Sangria?

I think you look fabulous --- don't worry about having enjoyed yourself. You only get so much time to do it in your life anyways. Love your pink top, lady! And the photos are great.
Thank you for all of your sweet comments lately -- I haven't been able to respond, but I've read them all and they make my day. I owe you a long update soon, but until then, have a great night M! :)
